Many of us are struggling with stress and our mental health right now. When you harness the power of your mind, you can overcome challenges and find opportunities for growth.

One of the best ways to direct the mind, body, and soul is with an affirmation (also known as a mantra), a simple language tool that has been used for thousands of years. When we are faced with stress and uncertainty as we have been this year, it can be very uplifting to reconnect to our spiritual side.

Before we give you these easy-to-use affirmations for your Crown chakra, we are going to help you understand how they work.

100 Crown Chakra Affirmations – Ultimate Guide!

Yogic thought envisions human life as including various planes of existence; while the physical body is the most obvious one, the subtle body is equally important. Unlike the physical body, which contains everything from organs to muscles to arteries, the subtle body relates to the flow of life force energy.

The centres of that energy are the chakras, with the seven main ones located along the spinal column. As mentioned earlier, the word “chakra” is Sanskrit for “wheel” or “circle,” the chakras are usually thought of as spinning circles or balls of energy. Each chakra corresponds to a colour of the rainbow, starting with red at the base of the spine and ending with violet at the crown of the head.

Each of the seven chakras has a unique influence on the body and on human wellness. The chakras govern the part of the physical body where they are located, as well as other characteristics and traits that affect our well-being. Ideally, every chakra is balanced, resulting in good overall holistic health. But for most people, some or all of the chakras are either overactive or underactive, bringing about suffering that may be physical, mental, or emotional.

What Is the Crown Chakra?

Crown chakra, also known as the “thousand-petaled lotus”, is the 7th energy centre from the bottom, located at the top of your head. Healthy crown chakra vibrates to the colour of violet or white, with thought as its dominant element.

The Sanskrit name for a crown chakra is ‘Sahasrara’, which means “thousandfold” and refers to infinite petals of its lotus representing the highest spiritual fulfilment.

Crown chakra is associated with the pituitary gland in your head, also known as the master gland. Pituitary gland controls and regulates the rest of the endocrine glands in your body (just like the crown chakra oversees the rest of your chakras).

Crown Chakra Summary

Physical Location:  At the top or crown of the head or slightly above the head like a crown

Colour:  Violet or white

Seed mantra:  Ah/Om (ॐ)

Element:  None, ether, or thought

Mudra:  Mahamayuri Mudra

Sense:  Cosmic consciousness

Action:  Awakening or enlightenment

Organs:  Hypothalamus, pituitary, pineal gland, nervous system, skull, and brain

Symbol:   A lotus flower with 1,000 petals

Stone:   Clear Quartz, Diamond, Selenite, Howlite, Amethyst, Lepidolite, Fluorite, and Moonstone

What Is the Function of Crown Chakra?

The main function of the crown chakra is to connect you with the Divine force and infinite source of healing energy through spirituality, self-realisation, knowing, and enlightenment. When you begin to open to the beautiful energy of the Divine, your crown chakra acts as a direct, energetic channel to your Higher Self.

You can think of your highest chakra as a receiver of consciousness from the Source, which keeps you connected with the Divine and your Higher Self. This chakra offers you a sense of awareness that there is a deeper significance and order in life, regulating all of creation.

Location and Connection to the Physical Body

The Sahasrara chakra is located at the crown of the head. It governs the brain, hypothalamus, and pituitary glands.

Energy Connection to the Emotional/Mental Body

Sahasrara is the entry point for the life force, which pours endlessly into our energy system from the greater universe, nourishing our body, mind and spirit. It flows through the physical body and the lower six chakras, connecting the entire physical body to the seventh chakra.

Benefits of Balancing the Crown Chakra

When the crown chakra is open and balanced, we experience ourselves as spiritual beings. Our intuition is sharp, and we can tap into the wisdom of the Divine. We understand our purpose and do not fear death. However, when the crown chakra is out of balance – either underactive or overactive – we are not able to operate at this higher energy level.

When crown chakra energy is low, we may feel empty and wonder about the purpose and meaning of life. We might question the existence of God or a higher power and feel that we are not loved. Mental and emotional illnesses and fear of death can also be symptoms of energy blocks in the seventh chakra.

On the other hand, when there is too much crown chakra energy, we can be disconnected from the reality of human life. If we are too connected to the spirit world, others may see us as “out there,” and we may even begin to think of ourselves as “not of this world.”

Balancing the seventh chakra is key to a healthy experience as a spiritual being living a human life. After all, we are here for a time, and it’s likely there’s a reason for that.

Balanced Sahasrara chakra manifests self-realisation, bright, radiate, rebirth, total selflessness, divine love, charming, and charismatic. One’s sense of love is magnifying to the degree everyone feels it, and sees everything as one.

How Do You Know If Your Crown Chakra Is Imbalanced?

A big sign that your crown chakra is imbalanced is that you feel disconnected from spirituality. Perhaps you used to be spiritual but lost your way. Or, maybe it just feels hard to trust in a higher power. Whatever it is, something has caused you to become cynical about spirituality.

You might be apathetic, finding it hard to engage. Or, on the other hand, you might be participating in self-destructive behaviours.

Physical symptoms of crown chakra imbalance may include headaches, especially migraines, as well as nervous system disorders. In severe cases, dementia and mental illness may point to blocks in crown chakra energy.

How Do Affirmations Help Your Chakras?

Your mind actually directs energy to what you focus on and that is a big part of chakra healing. A chakra is essential an energy centre with a specific vibration, you can think of each emotion as having a vibration.

For example, anger feels low vibration and compassion feels different and thus has a higher vibration because it feels better. Your Crown chakra is very high vibration so to activate it, we can focus on very positive emotions by conjuring them with words.

We can also send energy to the place it is located in our body to activate the chakra as well. You’ll see how these affirmations help concentrate positive energy at the top of the head and help you feel spiritually aware by bringing your focus to spiritually inspiring things.

How to Balance the Throat Chakra – Ultimate Guide!

How to Balance the Throat Chakra – Ultimate Guide!

In this blog post, we’ll explore the nuances of your fifth chakra, known as your throat chakra.

This chakra is all about your ability to stay true to your personal truth and your ability to interface with the world around you with honesty and integrity.

To put it simply, when your throat chakra is balanced, your actions are aligned with your thoughts and words, you’re comfortable asking for what you need, and you listen patiently and intently.

Effectively communicating who you truly are is both liberating and powerful.

Yet for many of us, doing this right is no easy task.

That’s where healing the throat chakra comes in.

What Is the Throat Chakra?

The Throat Chakra, which is also known as Vishuddha, is our fifth energy hub among the 7 primary chakras in our body.

It is located at the centre of our throat and the colour of this energy hub is blue.

It is element of ether, which is the space in between space.

Located at the centre of our throat, the throat chakra is the gateway to discovering and expressing our highest truth to the universe.

Physically, this chakra controls our neck, jaw, mouth, and face.

On a deeper level, the throat chakra controls everything that has to do with personal expression.

It controls how well we express our personal truth, communicate with others, and handle conflict.

A balanced throat chakra speaks our personal message with compassion and assertion.

It is unafraid of communicating boundaries or expressing an opinion.

When in balance, the Vishuddha Chakra allows you to have a more productive conversation, as well as tune in and listen to the guidance of your intuition.

The Vishuddha Chakra also gives you the opportunity to truly find your inner truth and to communicate and live your truth in daily life.

A balanced and aligned Vishuddha chakra allows you to be honest with yourself and easily communicate with others (I will cover this in detail further on).

Where is the Throat Chakra (Vishuddha) located?

The Vishuddha Chakra is located at the throat, and it is associated and closely connected with the thyroid gland.

You might be familiar with the fact that the thyroid gland affects mental and physical development and regulates metabolism.

The Main Characteristics of the Throat Chakra

As the name itself says, the throat chakra (which, as mentioned earlier, is also called the Visuddha) rules your innate ability to express yourself clearly and openly, without any issues.

The Visuddha Chakra is the life-force of your communication, which means that the throat chakra has an impact on many aspects of your life, both big and small.

Visuddha Chakra directly affects your relationships with yourself and others and your emotional stability.

The throat chakra also determines how well you handle conflict, whether you are living an authentic life, and whether you are aware of your own deep needs, and how to fulfil them.

The energy of the Vishuddha Chakra is going to provide awareness of your personal power.

When aligned, Vishuddha Chakra provides the knowledge that no one outside of yourself has power over the choices you make and your own wellbeing.

An important thing to note is that often you don’t have a moment in your day that is quiet.

The mind is racing and you have a million things on your to-do list.

This is why you often don’t hear your intuition and that inner guidance.

Some other key characteristics are below:

  • Sanskrit name: Vishuddha
  • Colour: Blue
  • Seed mantra: Ham
  • Location: Throat
  • Element: Space
  • Function: Ability of communication, expression
  • Associated gemstones: Blue lace agate, Lapis Lazuli, Aquamarine, Turquoise.

Open and Balanced Chakra

An open and balanced blue chakra leads to increased creativity and the ability to speak eloquently and communicate effectively.

The importance of effective communication is a determinant of all long-lasting relationships.

Also, the Vishuddha guides some of the most important feelings and factors needed to live a fulfilled life.

The imbalance of the throat chakra could lead to physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual problems.

However, the effects that an open and balanced blue chakra has on the body include:

  • A resonant voice
  • Healthy thyroid gland
  • Clear communication
  • Listening ability
  • Good oral health
  • Sensitivity to other people’s feelings
  • Intuition
  • A sense of purity
  • Living in truth
  • Increased creativity

Underactive Throat Chakra

An underactive or blocked Vishuddha harms the body’s physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

A blocked Vishuddha leads to excessive shyness and the inability to communicate or express one’s self adequately.

This, in turn, may lead to the feeling of being misunderstood, loneliness, restlessness, anxiety, and depression.

Also, a blocked Vishuddha could arise from digestive problems like ulcers and eating disorders.

Symptoms of an underactive throat chakra include:

  • Extreme shyness
  • Restlessness
  • Anxiety
  • An introverted nature
  • Hearing loss
  • hypothyroidism
  • Depression
  • Frustration
  • Lack of energy
  • Worry
  • Fear of speaking
  • Lack of creativity
  • Insecurity
  • Detachment

How to Balance the Throat Chakra – Ultimate Guide!

Healing the throat chakra enables us to step into our unique self-expression, speak our truth, and connect with others on a deeper level.

Here are 12 things you should do to heal your Vishuddha chakra.

Practice being more present in your conversations

Do you find yourself always trying to prove something, wanting to be heard, interrupting, or not fully listening to other’s response during discussion?

This could be caused by an imbalanced throat chakra.

Opening this energy centre has a lot to do with communicating with kindness.

This doesn’t mean hiding your true feelings, but about connecting deeper and being more compassionate with others as well as yourself.

Speaking and acting from a place of kindness and sincerity will almost always lead to more meaningful and heartfelt conversation.

Practice Deep Belly Breathing

Speaking too quickly and impulsively, or not at all, are both signs that your throat chakra is imbalanced.

In order to ground yourself, practice diaphragmatic or belly breathing.

To practice, breathe deeply into your stomach so that it expands gently.

Then exhale, drawing the belly gently towards the spine.

Do this for 3-5 breaths.

Focusing your awareness on the sensation of your belly rising and falling will help to centre your energy, bringing calm and greater self-confidence.

Affirmations are sayings that you speak to yourself silently or aloud to give you a space to shift away from negative thoughts and feelings.

Affirmations are positive statements that can help us to challenge and overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts.

When you repeat them often, and believe in them, you can start to make positive changes.

In this process, affirmations allow us to say what we need to hear.

Below are a few examples of affirmations for the Vishuddha Chakra:

  • I hear and speak the truth about myself and my beloved.
  • I speak with compassion to myself.
  • I listen with compassion to my inner voice and the voice of others.
  • I speak my truth and wisdom freely to others.
  • I express myself with love and truth.
  • I can communicate easily.
  • I give and receive communication in a balanced way.
  • I can find solace in silence.
  • I can receive and hear clearly the messages of the Universe.
  • “I am a patient listener. I open my heart to hear what others share with me.”
  • “I express myself with ease.”
  • “My voice matters.”
  • “I speak my truth with love and sincerity.”
  • “I express my creativity, my emotions, my needs and my desires clearly.”
  • “I feel safe speaking my truth.”
  • “I practice clear, open and loving communication.”
  • “I am a powerful manifestor.”
  • “My words and my voice are powerful.”

Practice Creative Self-Expression

The first step to having an empowered throat chakra is to find our creative self-expression.

Whether it is dancing, singing, writing, poetry, painting, drawing, filming, acting, or playing music, spend time in a creative outlet that makes you feel expressive, confident, and heard.

Here are 3 ways to practice creative self-expression.

  1. Have A Dance

Dancing is extremely beneficial for our physical and mental health.

Make time in your week to just dance freely by yourself and practice vulnerable self-expression.

  1. Write

Write about something that matters to your or that you love.

Whatever makes you feel expressive! It could be poetry, blogs, a memoir, a fictional story, anything!

  1. Paint

Painting is a great way to practice creative self-expression!

A specific art activity I love to do is emotional expression painting, where you create a colour code, each colour symbolising an emotion, and use the colour code to create a painting that represents how you feel.

Journaling helps you process your feelings.

Writing in your journal is a great way to express your innermost feelings and views without fear of being ridiculed or judged.

It’s also a way to heal and release pent-up emotions.

The best thing about journaling is that you get to be creative in how you do it.

I think this allows you to stretch your creative muscles. You get to pick how, when, and where you journal.

You can do it on your phone in the park during your lunch break or at home, first thing in the morning on your favourite chair with a hardcover notebook.

You can journal at the end of the day on your porch watching the sunset with a cup of tea.

Whatever way you choose to journal is entirely up to you.

Here are 3 throat chakra journal prompts on expression to get you started.

What feeling or frustrations do I have right now that have been bothering me or taking up a lot of space in my head?

Write whatever words comes to mind….

Take all the words that you wrote above, and try form it into a clear sentence expressing how you feel and what it is exactly that is bothering you.

What is something that inspires me? Write about why it is inspiring.

Try writing a poem to express how you feel.

Practice silence

Meditation and mindfulness are great ways of practicing silence.

However, it’s not the only way. Being silent in conversations and listening to can be uncomfortable at first, mainly if you’re usually the one interrupting others.

You can also practice silence without a goal like sitting quietly – no book, no TV, no phone.

Take in the moment and rest in pristine silence.

This one can be difficult for those with worthiness issues.

But practicing silence allows you to expand your awareness and listen to all the ways information is being transmitted and vibrating all around you.

It also serves to let you know that there is nothing that you have to do to be worthy; you are worthy because you exist.

Communicate Boundaries

I know, “easy”, right?

If you have been allowing yourself to be pushed around or settle for less than you deserve, now is the time to communicate those scary boundaries that need to be set.

If it helps, I recommend writing them down first and repeating them out loud.

Feel confident in what you are saying.

Use Throat Chakra Healing Crystals

Crystals that can help heal the throat chakra are Lapis Lazuli, Amazonite, Turquoise, Aquamarine, Blue Topaz, Chalcedony, Labradorite, Blue Lace Agate, Chrysoprase, Blue Kyanite, and Blue Jasper.

You can place your chosen crystal at the base of your throat while resting.

If you want to keep the crystals close to your throat chakra, simply wear the healing stones as a necklace.

Neck Stretches and Breathing Exercises

Neck stretching is a great first step to help open the throat chakra.

Simply drop your chin towards your chest.

Then tilt your head towards the left so your ear is as close to your shoulder as possible.

Hold the stretch for 30 to 60 seconds.

Now move your chin back down to your chest and repeat the same stretch on the right side.

You can also use a breathing technique called Lion’s Breath.

It helps ease stress and stimulates the throat chakra. First, inhale while opening your eyes and mouth wide. Then stick out your tongue and “roar” your breath out audibly like a lion’s roar.

Eat Foods For The Throat Chakra

Each chakra has corresponding foods that heal them.

Foods for the throat chakra include ginger, blueberries, and tree fruits.

Interesting fact, the reason tree fruits are considered throat chakra healers is because a fruit won’t fall off the tree until it is ready just as the throat chakra won’t speak until it is ready.

Tune In To Your Inner Wisdom

So how do you actually learn to listen to your inner wisdom? This is actually a very simple thing to learn.

This is a 4-step guide to tuning in to your inner wisdom…

Tuning in to your inner wisdom is actually simpler than it sounds, but it’s not as easy to actually practice.

This is a 4-step guide…

  1. Silence

We first have to make space for our inner wisdom to show itself. We do this by regularly finding silence. Sit at the beach, in a quiet room, in nature, and do nothing. Think about what’s bothering you for a moment, something that is on your mind, or a problem you don’t know how to deal with. Bring awareness to it and let it go. Let silence sink in with no distractions.

  1. Listen

Now your inner wisdom will start coming out of hiding. All you have to do is listen. What is it telling you? Is it giving you advice? Answers? Is it comforting you? Is it uncovering a truth?

  1. Practice

It will be hard at first to hear your inner wisdom but, with repetition, you’ll be able to hear your inner voice with instantaneous ease. Practice sitting in silence and noticing your inner wisdom. See how fast you can hear it.

  1. Speak

The final step is speaking your inner wisdom. When the time comes that you need your inner wisdom fast, you’ll be able to act in alignment with it.

Practice A Throat Chakra Meditation

Meditate on opening your throat chakra.

Visualise blue light glowing bigger and bigger at the centre of your throat and filling you with confidence to express your desires, opinion, and communicate with others.

You can also meditate and visualise expressing yourself through something creative or picturing yourself communicating a boundary to someone.

If you’re struggling, below is an excellent guide meditation:

Listen To HZ Frequencies For The Throat Chakra

Music can heal!

The Solfeggio Frequency for the Throat Chakra is 741 HZ, the expression frequency.

It rules free, open communication and also has the physical effect of removing toxins and electromagnetic radiation from our body.

Practice Colour Therapy

Staring at or wearing the colour blue can be a gentle reminder to open your throat chakra.

Where a specific blue bracelet, just a reminder to express yourself.

Practice staring at the sky, the ocean, a lake or waterfall and visualize your throat chakra energy being like the water, flowing.

100 Heart Chakra Affirmations!

Today we will be sharing with you 100 heart chakra healing affirmations.

Heart Chakra healing affirmations are positive statements that can be used to bring balance to your Anahata.

The Anahata, or heart chakra as it is more commonly known as, is the fourth of our energy centres.

The heart chakra is associated with love, compassion and spiritual aspiration. Anahata is the air Chakra and is crucial for our ability to open our heart to loving ourselves and one another.

You can use affirmations to exercise your heart chakra energy and maintain the perfect balance through building mental thought patterns around the key principles of the heart chakra.

By the way, there are seven chakras in total, and balancing your heart chakra energy is just one of the series.

Once you have recited the list of affirmations below, I encourage you to check out my wider series of Chakras.

What colour is associated with the heart chakra?

The heart chakra is associated with the colour green, but it’s also associated with the colour pink

Green is a very soothing and calming energy which promotes feelings of harmony and security as its associated with nature.

Pink is a colour of sweetness, romance and a loving sensitivity. All of these energies are what produces true unconditional love for another, in spite of any flaws or imperfections.

As such, when the heart chakra is open, or in the process of opening, the capacity for unconditional love and acceptance is strong, and being able to experience this feeling naturally raises your vibration.

Symptoms of an unbalanced heart chakra

The heart chakra can go inactive due to both physical and emotional hurtful situations and a change in environment.

It manifests into blocking of energy flow or overflow of energy, either of them being considered problematic cases.
Below are the symptoms to recognise the imbalance in heart chakra:

  • Jealousy
  • Fear of intimacy
  • Trying to please; co-dependency.
  • Feeling of closed down
  • Feeling of either victimization or rescuer.
  • Overly defensive.
  • Extreme isolation; anti-social.
  • Yearning for approval from others.
  • Not being able to forgive and holding onto grudges even for the slightest of things.
  • Respiratory ailments including lung infections, breathing issues, and bronchitis.
  • Circulatory and heart-related problems.

You experience ‘heart chakra pain,’ if your Anahata chakra is blocked.

Where is heart chakra?

The heart chakra is located in the centre of your chest. It is the fourth chakra, but the first of the higher chakras.

The lower chakras include the solar plexus being the third, the sacral chakra being the second and the root chakra being the first and the base.

Once you master the lower three chakras, you will have a solid foundation to begin working on the higher chakras.

When the heart chakra is out of balance, you may lack the ability to be open and receptive to others. You may not be able to forgive easily and/or lack compassion as well as hold onto grudges.

When does the heart chakra close?

Many times, someone who has been deeply wounded or heartbroken will have a closed heart chakra, which is a normal response to this type of pain.

Although, the only way to truly heal the heart chakra, is to open your heart to love again.

The good news for those who have experienced heartbreak, is that if you’re nervous to open your heart to love again with another person, you can simply start by loving yourself, which the heart chakra is also associated with.

The ability to love another starts with the ability to love the self. When you love yourself, you know what your needs are, you respect your own boundaries and you essentially properly nurture and ‘parent’ yourself.

Why is it important to open up the heart chakra?

As you can see, the symptoms of the heart chakra blockage can severely impact your normal functioning.

It can destroy your happiness and peace of mind. Your self-respect and confidence will disappear. Your relationships suffer immensely and often result in breakups.

If you allow this state of affairs to continue for long, you would slip into depression. This causes more negative thoughts and feelings, leading to the blockage getting worse.

Once you are trapped in this vicious cycle of depression and chakra imbalance, it would be a monumental task to get out of it.

The ideal way to deal with a heart chakra imbalance would be to identify and tackle it as early as possible.

Affirmations for opening up the heart chakra

Affirmations are positive statements that you repeat to boost your confidence and self-love.

As the heart chakra is linked to emotions and feelings, affirmations related to love, compassion, and healing can help.

How do affirmations help?

Repeating affirmations can bring in more positive emotions and feelings over time.

As more positivity flows in the heart chakra, the negative energy that is blocking it gets annulled or forced out. Ultimately, this will help in opening up the chakra and regain its balance.

How to use affirmations to unblock the heart chakra?

Affirmations offer the best results when repeated with focus and a calm mind. This means early in the morning and just before bedtime are the perfect times for repeating them.

Take care to set aside enough time for the exercise so that you will be undisturbed.

You may repeat them aloud, or in your mind, write them down in a journal, listen or watch a pre-recorded track. You may also make them part of a vision board.
