You Are The Love You Seek – Spiritual Short

You Are The Love You Seek – Spiritual Short

You Are The Love You Seek – Spiritual Short

Beyond the veil, beyond the illusion of separateness, there is a light that shines within us all.

Connected with all that is, the spark of Creation, the Signature of God, resides within us all, untouched by division and separation.

We live in a period of confusion, lack of belief and detachment from our true essential nature.

Our path, the truth, has become distorted by the illusions of the mind.

Beyond the mind, deep within, the Self will…

Seek unity with all.

Seek Love in the moment.

Seek Love in the Self and another.

Seek to give and receive Love freely with an open heart.

Seek to create and Love all as One.

This is the great challenge of humanity, to look deeper inside, and understand within us, we hold dearly the consciousness of the Universe.

See yourself as the Self, and see the Self in others.

See past the distorted illusions of separateness, and feel deeply into unity and the oneness of all things.

The way to unity is through Love.

Turn inward, square and centre and ask yourself…

You-Are-Love

What is Love?

What is free giving Love?

What does it mean to give Love without conditions?

Is Love contained in this viewpoint I hold?

Is Love contained in the relationships I have?

Is Love involved in my conversations?

Are you viewing the other Self with compassion?

Are you viewing the pain and joy in the other Self with Love?

When we turn our attention to Love in all circumstances, the Universe will provide us with Love and inspiration in return.

We are a manifestation of the One Infinite Creator, expressing itself.

Do not manufacture Love, seek Love within.

It’s there, it’s always been there – untouched, eternal and free flowing.

We ARE Love, connected by One Eternal Source, in an ocean of oneness.

Seek the blockages and barriers you have built against it.

Seek, inquiry and focus on the Self within.

Seek unity, Love and compassion, and unity, Love and compassion will seek you.

You ARE the Love you seek.

50 Gratitude Journaling Prompts – Comforting!

50 Gratitude Journaling Prompts – Comforting!

Today I will be sharing with you 50 gratitude journaling prompts.

Journaling is quickly becoming more popular, with hordes of people starting their day by opening the pages of their notebook and writing. Writing has long been recommended by counsellors and psychologists as a way to work through our emotions, and many find that it’s a great way to reduce stress, improve decision making, and get to know themselves better.

I personally find that getting my feelings and worries out on the page stops me from going over them so much in my mind. Free writing can sometimes feel daunting though, so one of my favourite ways to journal is to use prompts. These are questions that can be used to gain a better understanding of ourselves and take note of things that might need addressing.

Gratitude has become a positive psychology intervention that is used in several settings. Research in this field has found that the practice of being thankful in life is strongly associated with well-being and happiness. Gratitude facilitates meaning- finding in our ordinary life events which is fuel for psychological resilience.

The practice of gratitude has been found to increase positive emotions, altruistic behaviour, and reduce physical complaints, stress, depression, and worry. Indeed research has found that gratitude is linked to all levels of well-being and has become a popular intervention that fosters positive functioning and psychological strengths.

Why is gratitude so hard to practice?

Let’s face it, it’s easier to focus on what we don’t have, our imperfections, and our problems than it is to be grateful for what we have. Between the violence, natural disasters, and divisive political climate, it’s been a rough year for many of us.

We’re inundated with negatives nearly 24/7 from the news, social media, and even in-person conversations. So, we have to work extra hard to find the good in ourselves and the world around us.

What you need

If you are new to the journal writing process, don’t panic. It’s pretty simple. All you need is a journal (or notepad) and a pen. So now you have your amazing journal, find a quiet space, grab a cup of coffee (…or wine/beer) and take some time to yourself.

I love using journal prompts because sometimes when I sit down to write I just stare at the blank page not knowing what to write about. Only when I actually dig deeper and ask myself some tough questions do I discover how many thoughts, feelings and views I have!

Focus on the benefits of gratitude journaling

Understanding why you’re doing something instead of just jumping in will make your new habit easier to stick to. For example, you know you have to brush your teeth and even though the act of brushing your teeth isn’t necessarily enjoyable, you do it because you know it prevents cavities.

The same applies to gratitude journaling (although it’s a lot more enjoyable than brushing your teeth). Some of the benefits of gratitude journaling include lower stress levels, a greater sense of calm and a whole new level of clarity.

50-Gratitude-Journaling-Prompts

You’ll learn more about yourself in the process and gain a fresh perspective that allows you to recognize blessings in disguise. As you continue the practice, you’ll be able to focus your time and energy according to the things that truly make you the happiest version of yourself.

Set aside time for writing

Finding time to write in your gratitude journal can be difficult at first because it feels like another thing on your never-ending to-do list, but after you get into the routine it becomes second nature. The easiest way to maintain a gratitude journal is by making it a habit. Try attaching it to an existing habit like having your morning coffee or reading before bed.

Doing this will automatically give you a dedicated time to write. Also, shift your mindset and think about it as something you want to do, not as a chore. You might think that you have to journal daily to see the benefits, but consistency is key.

If writing daily works for you then go for it, but if you can only squeeze in once a week, that’s fine too. As long as you get into the routine of writing in your journal on a regular basis, you’ll start to notice the benefits.

Why gratitude prompts are good

You might look down at your gratitude journal to see that you were thankful for coffee five days in a row. Now, you may be grateful for that brown liquid gold, but you need to take the time to think more deeply and appreciate more deeply.

That’s why these gratitude journal prompts are so helpful. Answer a question every day and you’ll focus on a different aspect of your life regularly. Some blessings you may have never considered before. Often, we need a little nudge to do things well. In this case, use that gentle push to greatly improve your thoughts and your life.

What to do if you don’t know what to write about?

If you’re struggling to find something to thankful for, start small. There are always things to be grateful for, even on our darkest days, but we have to look harder for them. Like digging for buried treasure, it takes effort, but the reward is great.

Try to identify one good thing – a supportive person, a comfy sweater, hot water, or even that you’re able to read this article. Try to stay open-minded. Your first response might still be to minimize the positives and focus on the negatives, but by practicing gratitude we can actually train ourselves to spot the positives.

50-Gratitude-Journaling-Prompts

This means that with practice, it will become easier to identify things you’re grateful for and you’ll develop an open and joyful heart, as well as a greater appreciation for yourself and the world around you.

Gratitude doesn’t make our problems disappear, but it helps them feel more manageable. But, if you just simply can’t think of anything, I’ve got your back. Check out these gratitude journal prompts that will help you achieve clarity and help your mental health.

How to Balance your Solar Plexus Chakra – Ultimate Guide!

How to Balance your Solar Plexus Chakra – Ultimate Guide!

Today I will be guiding you through tips and techniques on how to balance your Solar Plexus Chakra.

Our emotions reside physically in our bodies. On a subtle level, our bodies communicate with the energies around us and certain energetic impulses usually relate directly to a certain part of the body and chakra that’s weakened or imbalanced.

Each chakra represents a spiritual life lesson or challenge to help us gain a more in-depth understanding of our personal and spiritual power. This, in turn, helps us learn how to overcome obstacles, let go of emotional blockages, and walk the path towards spiritual consciousness.

The Manipura, or Solar Plexus Chakra, is our epicentre and the magnetic core of our personality and our ego. This post explains your Third Chakra, the Solar Plexus Chakra, in-depth by exploring its emotional and mental connection to the physical world.

The energy of the Third Chakra, often referred to as the Solar Plexus or Manipura, is the formation of the independent self – independent from our community and independent from external relationships. It’s a personality separate from any inherited characteristics.

However, if the first and second chakras are out of balance, then the Manipura develops issues related to fragile personal power and low self-esteem. To recap: the Root Chakra resonates with familial power, and the sacral resonates with the flowing power between others and the self. The Third Chakra relates to our independence and personal power within the external world.

What does Manipura mean?

Manipura is a Sanskrit word with several accepted English translations including:

  • Mani = jewel
  • Pura = place or city
  • City of jewels
  • Lotus gem
  • Lustrous gem
  • Home of our ego and confidence

Quick facts about the manipura, or third chakra

  • Location: Upper abdomen in the stomach area (couple fingers or inches above navel but under breast bone area).
  • What it controls: Elements of personal power including self-worth, self-confidence, and self-esteem
  • Color: Yellow

How-to-Balance-your-Solar-Plexus-Chakra

  • Animal: Ram
  • Element: Fire (manifests as heat in the solar plexus)
  • Stone: Amber
  • Associated shape: Downward triangle; represents spreading of energy for growth and positive development.

Function and Benefits of a Balanced Third Chakra

A balanced chakra helps you feel warm with purpose and power. You will feel a sense of confidence that emanates from your chest and drives your entire body forward.

The Intellect

Keeping the solar plexus chakra in balance and unlocked allows your intellect to grow. New intellectual challenges, like understanding a new field of study or taking a difficult test, will come more naturally to you.

Personal Opinions

With an unlocked chakra, you will feel a strong sense of clarity in forming personal opinions. Your beliefs will feel organically formed within you. This is the “gut instinct” you may have been wishing to hone.

Decision-making

Making decisions also feels good with an open solar plexus. Nothing is decided upon a whim because your inner self speaks to you in a clear, confident voice. Setting the direction is easy and navigating choppy waters comes naturally.

Clarity of Judgment

When you need to make a judgment, call based on very little information, a clear solar plexus chakra will always guide you right. This can be very helpful in child-rearing, making quick judgments at work, and dealing with difficult and dramatic people in your life.

Personal Identity

Much of your personality and personal identity is found within this chakra. When it is open and freely flowing, it sizzles with all of the individual and charming quirks that make you uniquely you.

Self-assurance

Maybe you’ve looked at someone and wondered, “Where does that person get so much self-confidence?” It’s coming from their third chakra, the chakra that helps a person feel confident, self-assured, full of willpower, and empowered to speak their truth.

Self-discipline

If you’re putting off your dreams or failing to achieve certain goals in your life, perhaps your Manipura is blocked. This is also the chakra of self-discipline that keeps you on track no matter what kind of curveballs life throws at you.

Independence

When this chakra is brimming with energy flow, you are your own best friend. This allows you to feel invigorated with independence and freedom. You don’t need to rely on others for your satisfaction, self-worth, motivation, or accomplishments.

What happens when Manipura is imbalanced?

  • How to Know If your Solar Plexus is Blocked
  • Someone who is struggling with a blocked solar plexus will feel helpless, irresponsible, and totally lacking in drive and motivation.
  • A blocked third chakra yields emotional damage like:
  • Feelings of weakness and powerlessness
  • Low self-esteem
  • Undisciplined decision-making
  • Irresponsibility
  • Blaming others
  • Manipulating others for personal gain
  • Bullying and dominating
  • Insecurity
  • Lack of assertiveness
  • Feeling unattractive
  • Feeling that you’ve let yourself down

Someone with a blocked solar plexus chakra may start feeling powerless in their life, which leads to manipulating and bullying others due to their own lack of personal power. When they see that others are dominated by their behaviour, it gives them a false sense of power that can be damaging to both people.

On the other hand, a blocked chakra can also cause someone to turn inside themselves with feelings of deep insecurity and weakness. They may begin to bully their own inner child, scolding themselves for every perceived failure.

Solar-plexus-chakra

This could turn to very unhealthy solutions like drug addiction, alcohol abuse, smoking, compulsive shopping, gambling, stealing, hoarding or overeating. These are all signs that one may be in urgent need of solar plexus chakra healing.

People with an overactive solar plexus chakra are often bossy, overly confident, bully-ish, conceited, and power-hungry. Chakra health can also affect the well-being of your body parts and systems:

  • The stomach, including ulcers
  • Your digestive system, creating nausea, bloating, constipation, gas and digestion issues
  • The immune system, making healing difficult
  • Hypoglycemia (very low blood sugar) and diabetes
  • Trouble gaining or losing weight as needed
  • Respiratory problems, including asthma
  • Arthritis, nerve pain, and/or fibromyalgia
  • Liver and kidney disease
  • Procrastinating

How to Balance your Solar Plexus Chakra – Ultimate Guide!

If your solar plexus chakra is feeling too locked up to infuse you with natural energy, it’s time to look for ways to unlock it. Here are some reliable methods of clearing a blockage and rejuvenating your inner source.

Start to balance chakras with a scan of your physical body

You can begin listening to what your chakras are signalling by doing a body scan. It can be challenging or even uncomfortable trying to quiet the mind at first, so do this in a safe space where interruptions will be minimised.

Clear negative energy from the space with an aromatherapy mist or incense burning. Suggestions for body scanning for your solar plexus chakra:

  • Lie down on your back with a pillow under your knees
  • Place your hands over your stomach area (overtop your navel)
  • Close your eyes and take a deep breath, exhaling any negative energy
  • How does your breath feel coming into your body?
  • Does your diaphragm rise and fall fully?
  • Is the oxygen feeling stuck?
  • What emotions are coming up?
  • If you need to, stop here and begin working on balancing your Manipura chakra, do so.

If you’d like to continue, ask yourself the following:

  • What do you feel?
  • What shape is the feeling?
  • What colour?
  • Is it cold, hot, heavy, etc.?
  • What do you want to do with it?

Oftentimes we can work through the energy blocks in our bodies by mentally bringing ourselves through the process. This is advanced level inner energy work and is best for people who have worked with an energy healer or trauma therapist before.

MEDITATIONS FOR THE SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA

As mentioned above, so much of energy healing can be done through meditation and visualisation. Actually, I’ve read that meditation is the most powerful and quickest way to begin opening and balancing your chakras.

Solar Plexus Chakra Healing Guided Meditation – this is a beautiful and relaxing guided meditation that will help heal and open your solar plexus chakra. Activating Qi Flow of Solar Plexus Chakra Meditation – another relaxing guided meditation that uses Solfeggio 528hz and binaural beats.

How-to-Balance-the-solar-plexus-Chakra

Solar Plexus Activation & Healing – this is a 9-hour long meditation sleep audio that helps to heal and activate your solar plexus chakra. Clearing Stuck Energy – Solar Plexus – beautiful guided meditation that helps you release self-limiting beliefs and stuck energy that will balance and open the solar plexus chakra.

There is so much content on YouTube for chakras, I definitely recommend researching yourself.

Never underestimate the power of the people you’re with

This is never truer than if you’re an empath or spiritually sensitive person – you’ll naturally soak in everyone else’s energy without even realising. Look at the people who are in your life. Do they feel empowered? Do they have good self-esteem? Do they have a balanced solar plexus chakra?

Often, we can mirror the behaviour of people around us and stay small to try and fit in. This is no good for the solar plexus chakra. The first step if you want to enjoy a strong, harmonious and balanced solar plexus chakra is to align yourself with relationships that allow you to express yourself as the greatest version of you.

It’s not cool to have low self-esteem, and you don’t need to put yourself down to fit in. Find people who raise you up and give you a safe space to shine as the brightest version of you.

Release anger

Anger can stick in the solar plexus chakra like a toxic glue. People who are quick to anger have an overactive solar plexus, and they’re giving their power away too easily when other people can invoke such a strong emotional response.

Equally, if you don’t feel safe expressing any anger and you people, please just to avoid conflict, it’s likely that you have an underactive solar plexus. Louise Hay famously tells her story of how she had to release old anger from childhood sexual abuse to eliminate cervical cancer, which she saw as a manifestation of this trapped trauma.

Research how you can release your own anger – either on your own or with a professional counsellor. The anger could be trapped in your solar plexus and causing an imbalance. Setting it free will allow energy to flow through again, bringing it back into balance.

Improve your diet

Watching what you eat is extra important if you’re spiritually sensitive. Food is just another kind of energy and you’re putting it directly into your body, at the centre of all your energy fields.

Colours are associated with all of the chakras, and the colour yellow is associated with your solar plexus. Therefore, it’s said that this chakra appreciates healthy and nutritious yellow foods. Such as:

Solar-plexus-chakra

🍋 Lemons 🍋 Bananas 🍋 Sweetcorn 🍋 Pineapple 🍋 Turmeric 🍋 Lentils

Eating foods that you can digest more easily (e.g., gluten-free and without dairy) is an easy way to find relief from any physical symptoms of imbalance in this chakra. Your food gives you energy and you want your food to support all of the power that you have available in this chakra. Eat foods that will enable you to flourish by being nourished.

Use crystals

Similar to foods, the solar plexus also appreciates yellow crystals. Often, Reiki therapists will place crystals down the chakras of the client they’re working on.

These crystals will match the colour of each chakra. You can place yellow crystals on your solar plexus chakra when you’re lying down, meditate, and visualise the yellow energy centre around your stomach swirling freely.

Imagine that it’s completely open to energy flowing through it and out of it. You can use: 💛 Amber 💛 Citrine 💛 Tigers Eye 💛 Yellow Calcite 💛 Yellow Topaz

Crystals are great energy amplifiers and they can also soak in any toxic energy from your solar plexus. For this reason, it’s very important that you regularly cleanse your crystals to release any old energy they’ve soaked in.

Affirm your power

You can use affirmations to inspire movement in all of your chakras – for your solar plexus, choose affirmations that remind you of your power to get the energy moving again. You can 1) write them down every morning, 2) say them in your mind, or 3) say them out loud to yourself when you’re on your own (such as in the shower or driving).

Imagine these high vibration words going into your chakra and feel them to be true from your gut, which is where your solar plexus is. This is your centre of personal truth, and what you believe about yourself is held in there. Know with 100% faith that these affirmations are true and reflective of you.

Solar-plexus-chakra

Affirmations for your solar plexus could include:

  • I am strong and immensely powerful just by being me
  • There’s nothing that anyone can ever do to take away my light
  • I create my own life and I can create it however I want

One of my favourite affirmations which I always use is:

  • I get to have fun, be free, and be me; and as a result, I get to live in an endless state of abundance

Try these or think of some new affirmations which will restore positive self-belief into your energy centre.

Prioritise freedom

When you feel restricted, it manifests as blocked energy in your chakras which then restricts your manifesting. Freedom is what your soul wants for you most of all. When you don’t allow yourself to be free, you’re encouraging your solar plexus to stay small and you’re hiding from your light.

Allowing yourself to be free is done in small steps, such as:

  • Choosing not to be a victim
  • Laughing at yourself when you do things wrong, instead of criticising yourself
  • Being spontaneous because you’re not fearfully controlling every outcome

Prioritising freedom also means being someone who isn’t overly attached. This includes being attached to outcomes, things, ideas, views, and people.

When you aren’t attached, you’re free to adapt. But when you’re too attached, you get stuck and your energy does too.

You allow energy to flow properly through this centre again when you’re happy in the moment and you don’t need to be in control. Allow yourself to shine, everything will be fine.

Remember that your energy feels best when it’s fluid, light and free to fully express what your soul wants for you. Your energy is yours, so don’t give it away to things that zap you of your power and make you feel unable to change. You are able to change, and become better.

Get Close to the Element of Fire

When is the last time you experienced fire up close? Spend time by a campfire and reconnect with the feeling of the flames on your face.

This can stimulate and unlock your chakra. The same effect can come from simply going outside, taking a walk in the sun, and enjoying nature’s warming beams. Sunbathing is an excellent way to encourage energy movement within the body.

Yoga Poses

Any yoga pose that brings heat to the navel chakra will help unlock this chakra. In fact, you can start with the simple plank pose to warm up your body. From there, try the warrior pose, bow pose, child’s pose, and corpse pose to reconnect with your solar plexus.

Chanting “RAM”

The solar plexus is stimulated by the sound ram, which has a root base in Sanskrit which means “support/make still” and “witness/make evident.” Chant this sound to build a strong connection with this chakra and coax out your inner power.

You can also practice increasing the number of times you chant ram within a single breath, as shown in this video about ram chanting.

How to Balance your Solar Plexus Chakra – Final thoughts

Your Manipura chakra is essential to maintaining your spirit of freedom and lifelong independence. When this chakra is unblocked and flowing freely, you’ll find that you have the clarity and confidence to boldly follow the direction of your inner compass.
